Mr Gilbert Ferreira

Academic Ops Officer

Gilbert began his career in IT at Microsoft in 1996 and later served as Chief Technology Officer for Travel Technologies at eCompany Ltd. He moved into independent consulting in 2003, which led to a focus on tax education development and administration. From 2005, he helped build TRM Services’ education initiatives, serving as COO, co-founding the I/I/T/F and the publication TaxTalk. In 2008 he became AOO of I/I/T/F, now the Academy of Tax Law, a global provider of online postgraduate programmes with Informa Connect and Middlesex University. His expertise spans e-learning platforms, online programme operations, publication management, and business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end programme operations.
  • Manage partner coordination with Informa Connect and Middlesex University.
  • Lead LMS configuration.
  • Run admissions and onboarding.
  • Coordinate faculty onboarding.
  • Maintain academic quality assurance.
  • Ensure policy compliance, data protection, and records management.
  • Oversee student support operations, service levels, and escalation handling
  • Oversee publications and learning assets, version control, and archive standards

Mr Josh Curtis-Hale

Programme Manager

Josh Curtis-Hale is a Senior Programme Manager at Informa Connect with a strong record across corporate events and e-learning. Trained in marketing, he blends commercial thinking with meticulous delivery, managing complex schedules, stakeholder alignment, and learner experience at scale. His portfolio centres on financial and professional education, where he leads launches, growth campaigns, and continuous improvement. Josh is an advocate for economic empowerment and sustainable business, and he embeds those principles in how programmes are designed, marketed, and supported.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end to end programme delivery.
  • Coordinate with Middlesex University on validation, compliance, and reporting.
  • Manage admissions pipelines.
  • Oversee learner communications and onboarding.
  • Maintain data integrity across CRM and LMS.
  • Drive continuous improvement across curriculum operations, delivery, and support.

Ms Firoozeh Ghaffari

MDX Link Tutor

Firoozeh Ghaffari is a senior manager in the Department of Accounting, Finance and Economics at Middlesex University. She holds a BSc and MSc in Economics from UCL, is a Chartered Accountant, and a fellow of the ICAEW. She trained at PwC London in audit across blue chip sectors, then served as a group financial controller in Canada before joining Middlesex in 1996. Firoozeh has led the Accounting and Finance Department, served on university and external governance bodies, and continues to teach Financial Reporting. Her academic interests include ethics in accounting education, on which she has published.

Responsibilities

  • Middlesex University Link Tutor.
  • Coordinating partnership with InformaConnect and the Academy of Tax Law.
